There Will Be A Day (
JJ Lin)
1943, World War II*, Grandma was still young
Grandpa loved her so much, their feelings were deep
But Grandpa bears an important duty; on the night he leaves the village
He gives Grandma a kiss, and softly says:
I'm leaving, don't cry anymore, don't be heartbroken, please believe me
You have to wait, my love will never leave you
Because there will be a day when we'll hold hands in a meadow listening
To the bird's singing voices; listen to me say: I love you
The sun is setting in the west, birds have gone home,
Grandma is laying on her sickbed
Her breathing is a little slow, but her eye-expression is still gentle
Looking at Grandpa's watery eyes, holding his coarse hand
Grandma's tears begin to flow, she softly says:
I love you
